Level transmitters with Differential Pressure (DP) are most commonly used for drum level control. They operate by measuring the difference in pressure between the level of the water in the drum and the water in a static column, also called as “Constant Head”. To assure indicating accuracy and lower density error, the constant head is provided with suitable temperature compensation to match the pressure demands of the particular system.
